Community Arts Programs
ART FOR ALL AGES
The Arts for All Ages program is a community outreach initiative operated by the HPAC, designed to bring art projects and creative experiences directly to residents with limited ability to experience art in the community. The program addresses mobility hurdles by bringing artistic activities directly to seniors, veterans, and incarcerated populations, helping to reduce isolation and enhance the quality of life through engagement in the arts regardless of ability. Programming in 2026 was hosted at the Hastings Senior Health & Living Health Care Center, Benedictine Living Community-Regina, and the Hastings Veterans Home.
RAP (Rec, Arts, Police)
Program
The Hastings RAP program is a community event series held at various locations during the summer months.
The program aims to build positive relationships between
the Hastings Police Department, Parks & Recreation Department, and the community, with a special focus older elementary and middle school children.
Each event features different art activities led by recreation staff and sponsored by HPAC along with opportunities to interact with police officers in a relaxed setting.
